The holdings of the Benaki Toy Museum originate from Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas and are based on the renowned collection of Maria Argyriadi that is among the most important in Europe. Greek items associated with childhood date from antiquity to modern times. The European collection includes urban and folk toys as well as dolls in Greek costume.
